Edelman Healthcare help some of world’s largest pharmaceutical companies and healthcare brands. We are currently looking for a Director (or Senior Director) to lead on one of globally top accounts in the Pharma sector working with their Respiratory and Immunology business.

The Director is responsible for leading, securing, maintaining and growing the business in their team. They provide strategic advice and guidance to clients in achieving communication and business objectives. They lead teams and oversee the development and execution of high-quality communications programmes. A Director is a strong leader who, as part of the Health Senior Leadership Team, supports the team’s objectives through the clients workstreams, organic growth, new business, trainings, while supporting wider departmental activities via marketing, talent, new business. They map, lead and contribute to organic customer growth and the acquisition of new customer business.

Role Responsibilities
  • Senior client point of contact, accountable for overall profitability, quality, relationship and client satisfaction of the Global R&I business, working in tandem with the EMEA Client Relationship Team, including Client, Planner, Creative, Data & Insights, Digital, Media, Programme Management leaders, to best serve our clients across offices, time zones
  • Strategy lead, spearheading planning and implementation of 2021 R&I Disease Areas plans, in partnership with EMEA Client Relationship Team and day-to-day TA/Brand/Portfolio leads
  • Enable collaboration and drive integration across specialties and geographies to ensure effective budgeting, staffing and seamless execution
  • Partners with business manager and resource manager to ensure profitability targets and allocations are being met
  • Accountable for developing and operationalising
  • Client Development Plans: growth and diversification of the business, including identifying, generating and coordinating organic growth opportunities; and team, including sharing best practice, coordinating efforts, identifying gaps and training staff
  • Mentors, coaches and supports team EMEA members and ensures staff are developing abilities
  • Accountable for monthly forecast and communication on business and personnel topics with London leadership
  • Spearhead reporting and coordination with GCRM team including US-based GCRM and London-based GCRM.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Pharma knowledge and experience with clients in the pharma sector is a must
  • Comfortable working within a global/multi-market team located in different offices and geographies
  • Understanding of data/regulatory milestones, above brand/unmet need campaigning and employee engagement, consult across paid, earned and owned and be conversant in social, digital and offline approaches
  • Fluent in media and digital to consult across paid, earned, owned and be conversant in social, digital and offline approaches (e.g., trends in health, compliance considerations, relevant social platforms, audience channel planning, paid activations and reviewing analytics reports)
  • Experienced in business management, including forecasting, staffing/recruiting, and commercial negotiation
  • Fluent English, native speaker is preferred
  • Proactive, problem-solver who embraces diverse trends, skills, specialties and viewpoints
  • Hands-on team player adding value, sharing creative ideas, and executing communications programmes

Reporting

This critical role serves as a member of the Edelman London Team and will report directly to EMEA Client Lead with a dotted line to the Co-Leads of London Health.
