About the Role

We are looking for a talented, ambitious, and passionate Director to join our award-winning team in London. Our Director will oversee the management and growth of a portfolio of high-profile clients, motivating a committed and enthusiastic team and developing innovative strategies and programmes to support business development. We are looking for candidates with a proven track record of managing client accounts. We value creativity and lateral thinking, and you will need to show both creative flair and a passion for helping clients navigate a complex and challenging stakeholder world.

A polished and articulate presenter, you will be at home both planning pitches and delivering presentations to diverse and exacting audiences, including senior leaders of global businesses. Strategic thinking is a must, and you will originate, manage and implement programmes that are effective across multiple stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying trends within the communications landscape and will demonstrate an understanding of and/or best practice in areas such as integrated communications planning, issues and crisis management, social media performance, sustainability, purpose and ESG-related communications.

What You’ll Do

Deliver to Clients


  • Lead on several programmes, including both retained and project work, ensuring that client programmes are agreed, and project plans are implemented
  • Bring fresh ideas and new thinking to client engagements
  • Provide strategic advice to a portfolio of clients, manage accounts on a day-to-day basis and develop excellent relationships with client heads
  • Generate supportive media coverage for clients - with a great book of journalist contacts to create opportunities for your clients
  • Anticipate potentially challenging situations, evaluate alternatives and implement them (and work in a fast-paced environment)
  • Apply focus and commitment to client retention through exemplary service delivery


Build the Business and support your colleagues


  • Support business development activities, both through growing current accounts and identifying and winning new business opportunities
  • Build our team reputation through excellent service and our team’s success through generating new business opportunities
  • Nurture and grow your well-established network of clients and media contacts
  • Coach and mentor the junior members of the TMT team - whilst maintaining a professional, fun and supportive work environment.


Qualifications & Experience


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience in a financial and/or corporate PR agency environment (or in-house communications role)
  • Capacity to manage priorities between multiple client assignments and firm initiatives
  • Excellent written and oral presentations skills - both in large group and smaller meetings
  • Have the desire to develop excellent contacts with the media and analysts


Preferred Skills


  • Prior experience in and a passion for TMT
  • Self-starter who thrives on high level of accountability
  • Sharp writing skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in the areas of client service and project management
  • Developed ability to multi-task across client programmes, firm initiatives and sales opportunities
  • Ability to direct a project from concept to conclusion
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to recognise, explore and use a broad range of ideas and practices, thinking logically and creatively without influence from personal bias
