For our European locations we are looking for you as a Director Sales Europe (m/f/d) in full-time as soon as possible.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Overall responsibility for the customer facing organisation in Europe, including Sales, Customer Service, Application Engineers, Sales Operations and Customer Quality Engineers teams
  • Define and implement EMEA’s sales strategy and plans in conjunction with the overall business strategy: harmonise with global sales strategy and tactics and adjust to market requirements and environment changes
  • Lead and develop direct reports and the whole customer facing team; build a positive work environment and a high performing team that strives to reach the company’s goals
  • Responsible to develop and execute a training plan for the team as well as driving active succession planning and career progression
  • Analyse, monitor and interpret market trends, competition and customer behaviour and work with Service Line teams and the wider sales team to adjust marketing mix and sales attempt to meet revenue and profitability growth targets
  • Work with a number and KPI driven approach to identify potentials to develop sales activities from prospects to order
  • Collaborate deeply with Marketing on ‘revenue equation’ and delivery of targets from leads to returning customers
  • Strong collaboration with Operations and global/ regional support functions
  • Report to the VP Europe, working closely and being part of the European leadership team
  • Stay abreast with sales concepts and state of the art sales attempts particularly in the digital B2B sales environment and adjust Protolabs’ attempt accordingly and where relevant
  • Create relevant reporting and provide feedback to the leadership team at company meetings
  • Establish and maintain key customer relationships and build a customer centric attitude and mindset

Your qualifications & experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, including leadership and management responsibilities
  • Bachelor or master degree in economics or other related fields
  • Proven track record in classical sales approaches as well as deep understanding of e-commerce / platform sales in the b2b market, ideally but not necessarily in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience working in a global US organisation and in a matrix environment would be beneficial
  • International mindset and ability to focus on all regions equally
  • Excellent leadership and people skills with the ability to lead remotely
  • Outstanding communicator with a number driven sales approach
  • Great strategic planning, organisational, and creative thinking skills
  • Fluent English language skills, additional languages are a plus
  • Willingness to regularly travel across the region, depending on home base between 50 – 80% required
