JOB TITLE:ESI Director PricingDEPARTMENT:ESI MarketingLOCATION:UK - StainesDescriptionThe ESI Director Pricing is a new role on the ESI Marketing Leadership Team, with a global remit and the opportunity for an outsize impact across our diverse portfolio of products and markets in EMEA, APAC and LATAM.Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing International you will bring a fresh perspective to the business; building a market oriented and data driven approach to pricing. Working closely with Finance, Sales and Product Marketing, you will identify opportunities to leverage price for competitive advantage and to fuel growth. Developing a portfolio of initiatives, you will lead cross-functional teams to evaluate, prioritize, implement and measure the effect of new pricing strategies.You will exercise your strategic and analytical skills to develop price / value scenarios that optimize customer acquisition, customer lifetime value and upsell/cross-sell opportunities. You will be exposed to the pace and dynamics of our solutions for small business; the connected ecosystem of payroll and HR for the midmarket and complex high value strategic relationships with Enterprise and Global customers. In an industry where market oriented pricing is underutilized you will seek out and capture the opportunities for growth.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute over-arching pricing strategy, analysis and execution in support of key business growth opportunities, new product introduction and geographic expansion.This role is a strategic partner / influencer with sales leaders, product marketing, CFO and other senior leaders to correctly position our portfolio and establish pricing structure / levels that will enable the business to capture more value and capitalize on new market opportunities.Develop and define pricing strategies to achieve sales growth for current and future product offerings aligned with our vision and goal.Develop and execute options / frameworks and regular price / packaging tests to optimize customer acquisition and long-term valuePerform sophisticated quantitative analysis, using statistical techniques to model complex relationships between business variables, that translates data into actionable insights building optimization models to evaluate pricing opportunitiesManage price reporting, dashboards and metrics and present results and recommendations to a variety of audiences including price trending, competitor price comparisons, pricing bands and price realization, as well as market analyticsReduce price structure complexity and suggest ways to simplify solutionsPartner with: Sales, Sales Operations and Product Management & Marketing teams to determine go-to-market strategies with regards to pricingExecute on pricing strategies in partnership with Sales Operations, order entry, billing system to implement and communicate pricing changes.Operate independently; drive projects end to end including setting business goals, defining technical solutions, and conduct economic analysisSuccess Metrics- Identification of key pricing opportunities and the development of a consensus for action across the stakeholder group.
- Timely delivery of programs.
- Clear and measured positive business impact against pre-determined KPIs.
- Hiring additional Pricing Manager to scale.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business or Marketing.
- Knowledge of HCM and/or ERP space is beneficial. Practical experience in pricing for software and services is essential.
- 10 years minimum of experience in pricing-related disciplines ideally with a B2B organization.
- Working with data analysis and pricing. Track record of driving growth and optimized customer acquisition through pricing / merchandising.
- Experience with price models, price setting, price realization, promotional spending, pricing experiments, and bundling.
- Exposure to one or all of the following: pricing systems & strategy, pricing implementation, segmentation, promotional pricing and discounting.
- Proven experience executing complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Previous experience providing revenue management/ pricing strategic recommendations to clients highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, data research, analyzing large datasets, developing robust models to inform business decisions, and communicating methodology and insights to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions and manage in a complex matrix environment.
- Aptitude with data science software (e.g. Alteryx, Tableau) is a plus.
