What you will do asDirector of Engineering.

  • Lead and manage all engineering function including conceptual design whilst being a key contributor to manufacturing excellence
  • Develop a product development strategy with cross functional teams
  • Create a long-term vision and plan to achieve that vision, communicate the vision and ensure staff alignment to work towards that vision
  • Drive overall simplification of operations processes and product integrity through manufacturing engineering
  • Utilize a continuous process improvement plan with a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Costs
  • Oversee and administer the departments and capital budgets.

What you will have as Director of Engineering

  • Degree qualified, ideally C.Eng. having proven experience in leading an engineering function in a SME
  • Proven depth of knowledge in vehicle product development & conceptual design/validation of products
  • Grounded knowledge of the importance of fit, form, and function in design
  • Ability to provide global vision and leadership to execute change for on-going operational excellence
  • Project management experience, knowledge of vehicle launch
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and credibility and establish productive working relationships
