Ffotogallery is looking for a creative, ambitious individual to take on the role of Director, and to provide artistic and strategic leadership for the organisation.

This dual role of planning and delivering our artistic programme while maintaining organisational capacity and resilience, are the twin pillars that ensure that we always meet our charitable and educational aims.

The Director inspires our Board and staff team, supporting them in realising creative ideas and overcoming challenges. They play a key role in establishing new partnerships and activities that will animate exhibitions and online presentation of our work in ways which engage our target audiences and participants.

They are responsible for shaping and updating our business plan, delivering against its objectives and reporting to the Board and funders. They lead on fundraising and communicating our offer to artists and audiences, funders and stakeholders.

One of the most ambitious and exciting theatre companies in the UK, Ffotogallery creates exhilarating contemporary theatre: a provocative mix of innovative new writing, reimagined classics and influential twentieth century plays that illuminate our world.

We make bold, ground-breaking productions with some of the UK’s finest artists. We take these industry-leading, award-winning shows around the country and beyond, in theatres and online, attracting new audiences of all ages and backgrounds. We make work with and for people who are marginalised by the

industry and engage as deeply as we can with these communities as this helps us become better at what we do.

Our work is contemporary, relevant, P/political and unpredictable, and the Ffotogallery Board is seeking new managerial and producing leadership that embraces these values in our work and also brings their own vision to moving the company forward. The organisation must constantly evolve in order to both reflect and affect the rapidly changing world in which we live.

The Executive Director will make a major contribution to the future of the company, helping to shape Ffotogallery’s success in the UK arts and culture ecology and beyond.
