ITV is adapting its strategy to reflect the dynamic, global market for TV by being a digitally led entertainment and media company that creates and brings brilliant content to audiences, wherever, whenever and however they choose.

The Digital Content team commissions and produces all output for social media, websites, apps, podcasts and branded content for campaigns and programmes. The Content Marketing team are responsible for the WHAT and HOW across Digital Content. They will work across campaigns for our biggest programmes across all genres, as well as our always-on properties, making content to build young audiences to spend time with ITV.

This role will focus on either our major campaigns, such as Love Island, Euros and major Dramas, or ITV’s always-on programmes.

This role will work across the day-to-day publishing of our platforms, both social and owned. They will create basic video, image and text content to appeal to young audiences, make ITV feel like a modern and authentic brand, and optimise the publishing of this content for maximum effect.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibility for planning and publishing day-to-day content

Make relevant and high-quality content, but most importantly optimising where that content goes and how it reaches the most relevant audience

Create and publish video, image and text content which supports campaigns and digital content priorities, ensuring it meets set objectives and KPIs

Work closely with the wider Digital Content and Marketing teams, to prioritise content which appeals to young audiences and drives to ITV Hub

Understand what campaigns are priorities across Digital Content, and help support them in your day-to-day work

Understand how to optimise content for individual platforms in order to achieve the desired result, focusing specifically on reach the most appropriate audience

Keep up to date on changes to platforms, consider how they might impact what ITV does and pitch ideas which help make the most of platforms

Work to strict timelines and feedback across the life cycle of a programme

Pour over the data to make informed choices about how and when to publish content across the lifecycle of a programme

Produce content which is of the highest possible quality, taking ownership of your own publishing and provide regular feedback to stakeholders.

Manage relationships across production and marketing

Continually evolve programmes and campaigns during their lifecycle, based on data and analytics to meet objectives

Work with presenters and talent to help produce content

The successful candidate will have the following key skills: -

Experience publishing content across digital platforms

Experience making basic video, image and text content for digital platforms at a major brand

Experience using data to inform decisions about what content to publish, when and where

Significant knowledge about 3rd party platforms (such as app) and optimal publishing processes

Excellent editorial judgement

Knowledge of MediaLaw and OfCom Regulations

Experience working with multiple stakeholders across the business on various projects

Excellent spelling and grammar

Can-do, self-starter attitude who can work independently to get things done
