TheOpportunity:


Your day-to-day tasks will consist of collaborating with Marketing and Digital teams to define requirements, iterate on design solutions, and contribute expertise for various design projects.

A key aspect of your role is creating design assets for a wide range of digital platforms (websites, social media, display advertising, and eCommerce), at times you will also be supporting on print design and artworking.

You will be part of a super engaged, high performing team and have the opportunity to influence and collaborate on some really exciting projects as we continue to grow our fantastic brand.

Your responsibilities:

As our Digital and Print Designer, your primary responsibilities will include designing digital assets, testing them and supplying to the digital team in the correct formats. You will also support on print design and your expertise will encompass design and artworking. Responsibilities also include staying up to date on industry trends and the latest digital design software. You will also:

  • Translate ideas into design proposals, tailored to work across all platforms and channels.
  • Test assets and ensure they are fit for purpose across all customer touch points.
  • Understand the brief, proactively work with colleagues to deliver designs on time and to a high standard.
  • Create digital assets (static, video, motion and responsive HTML) for a range of platforms (social, display advertising, eCommerce, websites, mobile apps, etc.).
  • Create website assets for a variety of projects ranging from brand campaigns through to promotional messages.
  • Create email designs for CRM programs.
  • Design and develop homepages, landing pages, and email concepts.
  • Create and execute concepts for digital advertising.
  • Participate in design discussions and give feedback during planning and strategy meetings.
  • Research industry trends to present ideas and concepts for timely digital innovation.
  • Fully understand the variety of formats required to optimise our customers’ digital experience.
  • Be our internal expert on best practice digital design.

You will have:

  • Experience in the design thinking process, agile development, and lean startup methodologies.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment but able to work on their own, using initiative to solve digital dilemmas.
  • Must have worked client side in a design role - additional experience on agency side would also be a benefit.
  • Inhouse design experience within a retailer would be beneficial to this role.
  • Experience working directly with developers to implement designs.
  • Expertise with standard digital design tools, including Creative Suite, Indesign, Photoshop, Adobe XD, InVision, etc.
  • Working knowledge of CSS and HTML.
  • Proactive approach, ability to overcome hurdles and focus on delivery of projects on time - allowing for stakeholders review and feedback.
  • Photo and video editing expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of current digital design best practices and web production techniques.
  • A good understanding of visual design principles.
  • Proven digital content skills.
  • Experience creating digital assets for a variety of target audiences.
  • Strong portfolio showing the breadth of digital design capabilities.
  • Min 5 years experience working as a Graphic Designer
