What’s the role?

We have created a brand-new Digital Engineer role to help HEINEKEN UK drive towards achieving supply chain excellence! This role will leverage its unique data & digital assets through the exploration of digital platforms and data sources to build Britain’s Best Beer & Cider Company. Together we’ll make HUK the best “Connected Brewer”.

This role has been brought in because this area of technology is fast moving and ever-growing. We’ll need you to contribute to the data & digital discussions across Brewing Operations & Supply Chain to agree a standard process with a variety of business functions.

Tell me more!

This is a truly unique role which sits in the context of an evolving business landscape where the exploration of data & digital drivers for change are being rapidly requested. It’s a real hybrid role, it requires technical & process knowledge, but also the ability to see the bigger picture.

As well as the above, we’re looking for someone with great communication skills, that flourishes working in a fast-paced environment or under time pressures and can build relationships with multiple different stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone with a relevant degree (in an engineering, data or digital subject), or the equivalent in job experience.

Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders is essential. You’ll be seen as technically credible as you’ll be expected to make independent judgements and be responsible for making extremely impactful decisions. Significant experience in change management from development to implementation and a background in Agile delivery methodology and tools & techniques (TPM/Lean/6 Sigma) would be highly preferential.

What have you got to lose by applying?

We are extremely proud of the progress we have made on our I&D agenda. We’ve reviewed our policies, introduced smarter working principles, and created colleague taskforces focusing on LGBTQ+, Race & Ethnicity, Disability, Age and Gender. Research shows that some of us in these groups are less confident to apply for roles when we don’t have all the experience required. If you’re passionate about this role then we’d very much encourage you to apply, telling us why you see such a good fit in your covering letter, and let’s see what happens next!

Next Steps

When applying for this role, as well as attaching a CV, please also include a covering letter outlining a digital transformation project you were a part of (no more than 500 words). We’d like to get a feel of your experience in your own, relaxed words!
