Function: Brewing Operations
Location: Tadcaster
Salary: c£70,000 - 80,000 plus 15% flexible benefits(can be taken as cash, benefits, or a mix of both)award-winning pension, plus many more excellent benefits

Why us?
Founded by John Smith in 1758, Tadcaster boasts a brewing heritage second to none. A high-tempo site that incorporates brewing, canning, kegging, bottling, and packaging, it’s a brewery where tradition and innovation come together to produce over 60 million pints a year. As the flexible ‘go-to’ brewery for Heineken, the site is a pivotal part of the Supply Chain network; we proudly brew some of the most important lager and ale brands in the UK, such as John Smith’s, Birra Moretti, Desperados, Murphy’s, Fosters, Kronenbourg 1664, Amstel, and Tiger.

What we’re looking for?
Reporting directly to the Brewery Director and as part of the Site Leadership Team, our Head of Engineering is a pivotal role for the brewery, as we continue to raise the bar to meet global HEINEKEN standards where TPM (Total Productive Management) and continuous improvement are fundamental. This role has a large budget and team responsibilities, we need a proven leader with examples of developing and coaching a team to become a successful and highly effective unit. Having already been in charge of significant change programmes yourself, you will have both the technical and management abilities to steer a team through change initiatives, inspiring others to achieve great results.

This role will focus on continuous improvement without compromising quality in three key target areas; safety and compliance, preventative maintenance, and efficient generation and use of utilities.

To put it simply we are looking for an experienced leader with recognised qualifications, however, what is more, important to us is your operational leadership and people management skills and experience with similar complexity and size.

Your can-do attitude and enthusiasm will be warmly welcomed and your problem-solving skills will be put to good use. If you have a positive and safety-focused outlook with a continuous improvement mindset (e.g. Lean, ManEx, TPM, Six Sigma) then we want to hear from you.

What do we offer?
Along with your salary and flexible benefits, we offer an award-winning double matched pension (up to 10% from HEINEKEN), a performance bonus, private health insurance, subsidised on-site canteen facilities, a case of our delicious products every month (can be accrued) plus a number of other benefits included in your package.
