Job Title: Digital Engineer Surveyor

Location: Blyth

Job Purpose

ISG have recently secured a £500m new build Battery Gigaplant project in Blyth and are looking for a Digital Engineer Surveyor to support and lead onsite engineering activities for this large scale civil engineering package, one of the largest projects in the UK. You will be delivering a quality service and product to our clients in line with the project goals by working with the project team and applying ISG culture, systems and procedures.

KeyResponsibilities
  • Working with the design team to ensure buildability & safety are a top priority in the design process.
  • Proactive in safety conduct, seeks to resolve and improve all aspects of safety in construction
  • Conducting measures and take offs from the BIM model and providing data outputs as required by the teams.
  • Work with project and tender teams to meet deadlines and ensure professional delivery.
  • Proactively identifies & swiftly raises design buildability issues identified through clash detection.
  • Interprets and abstracts construction information from the models and provides this to the supervisors and operatives in a clear and understandable way using appropriate means of communication.
  • Marks up drawings & specifications with any changes referencing the documentation that verifies the change and works with the construction manager to inform the commercial teams
  • Proactively identifies & swiftly raises design buildability issues identified through clash detection.
  • Produces virtual build models to support the explanation and validation of construction sequencing and methodology.
  • Produces Step by step construction (week on week) 4D sequencing within a model environment


Experience & Skills
  • Previous experience of successfully carrying out a similar role to a high quality.
  • Fully conversant with CDM and all relevant Health & Safety legislation and previous experience of successful implementation on a major project.
  • Digital construction experience
  • Previous experience acting as a site engineer on large scale civil engineering projects with package values in excess of £20m
  • Hands on experience in quality management systems
  • Expert in the Use of BIM software such as Revit, Tekla & Revit.
  • Fully proficient IT skills, inclusive of AutoCAD software and the Microsoft suite of office programme inclusive of teams and remote working abilities, BIM 365 & SharePoint.
  • Experience of Laser scanning, usage of Matterport
  • The project aims to exploit all the latest technology as it becomes available, therefore flexibility and willingness to up skill and learn new software/hardware is essential.
  • Proficient in a BIM driven design process and information management
