As one of our Digital Copywriters in Halfords Content Team, your main focus will be to assist the roll out of the hugely important customer engagement project by delivering highly engaging copy.

Customer communications has been identified as a key driver of customer experience and the aim of the project is to create frictionless customer communications for each of the key customer journeys.

All written content created should actively contribute to the overall aims of delivering on the new customer comms principles: simple, convenient, personal, proactive and consistent.

You will be driven by a desire to help our customers have the best possible experience with our brand across multiple digital channels!

Note - Fixed term contract for 8 months

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Create, maintain or rewrite a wide range of customer communications for all relevant touchpoints
  • Attend briefing meetings and feedback accordingly
  • Work closely with SEO to ensure all copy is fully optimised
  • Ensure copy is consistent in tone and style with all the Content Team’s output
  • Ensure effective communication within the CX1 and wider teams to manage project expectations
  • Liaise with wider teams to research information required
  • Obtain copy sign off from appropriate stakeholders
  • Ensure deadlines are met and workload prioritised accordingly
  • Scripting for video and animation projects

Key attributes and experience include:

  • Excellent grasp of the English language
  • Previous experience of copywriting for a brand / agency
  • Highly inquisitive
  • Understanding of SEO and use of key words
  • Passionate about customer service and / or retail
  • Enthusiastic and driven
  • Highly organised and good at managing multiple priorities
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Adaptable and resilient
