Sitting within the Design Excellence team of the Capital Design and Delivery Department, this role will be part of a team delivering CAD/ BIM outputs using the latest software technologies.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Reporting to the Digital Design Manager, this role will form part of a multifunctional team carrying out a variety of project related activities, such as the design, coordination, drafting of 3D models and 2D drawings. You will be contributing to outline and detailed designs for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation works, and assisting in the implementation of standards and guidelines. You will undertake:

• Preparation of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s)
• Production and managment of 3D models
• Develop and manage site survey data both new and historical to aid the development of design
• Ensure drawings are compliant with industry and health and saftey standards and protocols
• Apply eningeering principles to check feasibility of construction and operation of the project
• Support design teams with planning and design of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical installations

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

You will have extensive experience in generating engineering drawings from sketches and specifications, and an appreciation of relevant design standards. Ideally with some knowledge of water and wastewater treatment. You will have detailed knowledge and experience with Autodesk software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks. You will be a forward thinking innovator, seeking opportunities to develop your capabilities and performance. The ability to utilise a common data environment such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, ProjectWise or Asite will be also much valued.
