Dietetic Assistant – Band 2

Do you want first choice of shifts at the largest hospital Trust in the Tees Valley with two acute hospitals and services in several community services? Do you want to work alongside 9000 staff providing a range of specialist services to around 1.5 million people in the Tees Valley, parts of Durham, North Yorkshire and Cumbria? We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Dietetic Assistant to join the NHSP staff bank at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is ideal for dietetic students who are undertaking a Dietetic degree or Masters course, prior to gaining HCPC registration. You will have access to first choice of shifts to suit your lifestyle, with the opportunity to bring your skills to a leading trust, renowned for being the Major Trauma Centre for South Durham, East Cleveland, Tees Valley and North Yorkshire areas.

Days: £9.49 days

Nights/Sat; £13.38

Sun/Bank Hol; £17.37

Skills/Responsibilities

To apply for this post, you will:

  • Have achieved a relevant nutrition qualification at NVQ level 2 or equivalent or have equivalent experience or be undertaking a Dietetic degree or Masters course, prior to gaining HCPC registration
    • Have recent experience (i.e. within last 2 years) of working in a healthcare setting as either a Dietetic Assistant or a Dietetic student
  • Support the Dietitians in providing an efficient and effective dietetic service – in the assessment and treatment of patients across a range of specialties and clinical settings
  • Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with STH policy
  • Undertake regular mandatory training
