Our client is a highly respected wholesaler of Granite Memorials, and they have been established for over 40 years. During that time, they have built their reputation upon reliable deliveries, competitive pricing, excellent quality, and first-class service.

So much so, in fact, that they are now the largest importer and manufacturer of Granite memorials in England! They are committed to increasing their growth through solid service to the memorial trade and are looking for a Developer to assist in that process.

The Role

As a Developer, you will be joining a team of developers and product experts in the memorial industry. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop skills in all of the technologies they use and introduce some of your own.

The team is primarily focused on developing high-quality solutions to enable efficient management, maintenance, and compliance at burial locations.

The Tech Involved

Our client is heavily invested in cloud technology and takes advantage of services offered by Microsoft Azure. Their development, integration, and deployment flows are managed using Azure DevOps.

Essential Skills
  • You must enjoy software development and be driven to consistently deliver reliable, modern solutions using the most up-to-date engineering patterns and practices
  • Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of fundamental engineering practices (SOLID/KISS/DRY/YAGNI)
  • Fundamentals of OOP
  • You will be expected to code review and participate in pair programming exercises
  • Motivated to work both on site and remotely. Working on your own as well as part of a team and accounting for other regions/time zones
  • A basic understanding of how an agile team operates using the Scrum process
  • Experience work with Git
  • CSS, HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript
  • Designing UI/UX prototype and wireframes

Desirable Skills

Although you will have the opportunity to learn many skills, it would be advantageous if you have knowledge/experience with:
  • Net Core
  • C#
  • SQL and No SQL database (They use Azure tables and Cosmos DB)
  • REST APIs
  • Event Grids
  • Messaging
  • Containers and Kubernetes
  • Have worked on an Angular or React project
  • Testing frameworks for both server and front end
  • ARM templates
  • Azure functions
