Location: Romford, Essex (full-time presence on site is required for the training period)

We have a brilliant opportunity for a candidate interested to pursue or continue their career in software engineering to join the small applications team of a global organisation with offices in Romford.

The role in a nutshell:

You will be a key player in developing and maintaining customer facing and internal applications for business use, helping to drive the digital transformation of the organisation. This includes day-to-day development on applications and working with Business Analysts to assist with defining and appropriately sizing requirements.

They use Low-code/ OutSystems which makes developing easier and more solution-focused. Training on this will be provided, but a curiosity to learn new ways of working is required. All STEM degrees (or equivalent) will be considered if critical thinking and a passion for development can be demonstrated.

As a Developer you will:

  • Work effectively with other Developers and Business Analysts to review and technically challenge requirements.
  • Develop and design low-level technical solutions based on requirement specifications and business input.
  • Execute initial tests before passing the solution package to the quality assurance team.
  • Continuously monitor and improve quality of code in line with development best practices.
  • Ensure efficient and timely support on process & applications and regularly and accurately reports progress and issues.
