Designer (Maternity Cover)

We are recruiting a Designer to join our Communications, Marketing and Digital team.

The successful candidate will be based in our in-house Studio team and work closely with colleagues on design projects to promote our services, insights and impact as well as positioning the region as a vibrant and dynamic place to live, work, study and do business.

Working in a fast-paced environment and delivering multiple tasks, this is an exciting role for a Designer experienced in the Adobe Creative suite.

The Role:

The post holder will deliver design assets and projects across each of our brand identities including the Combined Authority, LEP and Metro. This includes campaign delivery across the full traditional and digital marketing mix, reports and publications for our internal and external audiences and social media content production.

The Designer will work across multiple projects for business and consumer audiences and will be experienced in working with a range of brand guidelines.

This is a varied role which will suit a designer with experience in a busy in house or agency environment. Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is essential and knowledge of animation and video editing using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere will be an advantage.

Reporting into the Lead Designer, key responsibilities will include:

• Providing a high quality design service for the whole of the Combined Authority
• Producing campaign artwork, social assets, internal and external publications and reports
• Developing and managing production plans for creative projects and campaigns

About You:

You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience

• In-depth knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite
• Experience of working in a similar in-house or agency role
• Experience of working with multiple brand guidelines
• Experience of working with external agencies and suppliers
