White Label Recruitment is working with a company based in Keighley who are looking to recruit a Design Engineer.The bulk of the role will involve designing purpose-built machinery from the ground up.Responsibilities Of The Design Engineer
  • Work under instruction from the Mechanical Design and Engineering Manager.
  • Produce manufacturing drawings on time as defined in the design instructions.
  • Ensure that the manufacturing drawings implement only the changes specified in the design instructions.
  • Consult with manufacturing departments to ensure design aligns with production capabilities.
  • Visit site as required to carry out site surveys, resolve any technical and engineering issues.
  • Produce and develop 3D models, create manufacturing drawings, and issue the drawings for checking.
  • Ensure a complete bill of materials is produced.
  • Bring any critical mechanical design safety issues to the attention of the Mechanical Design and Engineering Manager.
  • Support the Mechanical Design and Engineering Manager in investigating errors to identify and eradicate the root cause.
  • Take part in design review meetings and production meetings when required.
  • Produce design calculations for others to check and approve.
  • Assist with production of technical manuals by providing screenshots for inclusion in machine operating manuals.
  • The post-holder should be expected to undertake any duties, according to the needs of the business.
Experience Required Of The Design Engineer
  • 3 years or more mechanical design experience in industry.
  • 3 years or more 2D and 3D CAD design experience. Solidworks would be an advantage but isnt essential.
  • Experience designing machinery would be highly advantageous.
  • Minimum HND or HNC in mechanical engineering.
Package/Benefits
  • A salary of £35,000 - £40,000 is on offer depending on experience.
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
  • Pension scheme.
  • Working hours are 8:00 16:25pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00 to 14:00 pm on Fridays.
