Design Engineer - Steel and MFC Panel Products

Due to continued growth and development my client now requires a design engineer to work on full product cycle designs, from concept to manufactured product. The role will include projects related to existing product improvement and NPD. They will also assist with maintaining the Technical File and ensure regulatory and statutory compliance included CE and Medical Devices.

Key requirements

  • Design for manufacture.
  • Ensure designs are compliant with relevant standards including CE and Class 1 Medical Devices.
  • Design of none standard products for specific projects.
  • Compile BOMs and verify on the ERP system.
  • Use of 3D CAD. The company uses CREO. Solidworks experience acceptable.
  • Product life cycle testing.
  • Steel and Stainless Steel light fabrication knowledge.
  • MFC and LFC Panel design.
  • Project management tools.
  • Team player with a can do attitude.

Experience

Ideally the perfect candidate will be a CREO 3D CAD user (or solidworks) with previous experience sheet/ tubular steel products and "whole design" experience. They will be used to working with production engineering to get designs prototyped and scoped ready for production including technical files, testing, BOMs, change documentation.
