Position SummaryWe are an award winning agency specialising in packaging and branding design. With extensive experience in all areas of brand and retail communication we offer a global service.
Are you Design Director looking to work on some fantastic retail/FMCG clients?
Do want want a lead role in which you will confidently mentor and develop a design team?
Do you have a portfolio that will impress?
We are looking for someone, ideally, with strong food and retail experience in particular food art direction, an ability to present well to the client, communicate well with teams across the globe and execute the creative brief, creative strategy and creative solution for numerous projects.
This role can be based at either our Nottingham or Manchester studios.
Job Responsibilities
- Help to create timelines, oversee design direction, ensure deadlines are met, confirm clients are satisfied with results and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Key contact for principle account
- Client facing
- Manage and coordinate teams
- Leads projects from concept phase through completion
- Understands clients key business objectives and helps deliver strategic solutions
- Hands-on project development while directing multiple projects
- Strong presentation skills to peers and clients
- Strong strategic and conceptual thinking
- Mentor team members
- Collaborates with photography teams across sites to keep abreast of trends in lighting, propping and food styling to help inspire future projects
- Degree in Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Advertising, Marketing, Publishing or related field
- Experience of Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Advertising, Marketing, Publishing experience
- Previous held a leadership role
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Periodic travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
- High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
- Strong analytical, prioritising, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organisation, as well as, internal and external clients.
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
