£3000 - New Hire BonusThe permanent posts are eligible for a £3000 New Hire Bonus. An initial payment of £1000 will be paid in the first 1 month and a final payment of £2000 will be paid 1 year after your start date. This will be pro-rata for part-time posts. Please see attached New Hire Bonus Terms & ConditionsAn exciting opportunity has now arisen and we are in the position to recruit a Deputy Ward Manager to work on our Mental Health ward at The Cavell Centre, Peterborough.The successful candidate will be a competent practitioner with a proven record of leadership skills as a Band 5 Nurse and able to take responsibility for the overseeing assessments of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for client requiring treatment.As deputy ward manager you should have some essential skills, you must be able to demonstrate highly developed clinical nursing skills, acting as a role model and providing professional leadership, being a clinical advisor and educator to team members.You will be required to assist the team in making clinical decisions and when planning and prioritising patient care and delegation to team members, ensure appropriate multidisciplinary assessments of patients’ needs and those of their carers are completed in a timely manner, communicate effectively using a variety of skills: verbal and non-verbal, written, and electronic, with a range of individuals and organisations within and external to the NHS.Some of your other duties will include participating in regular supervision (clinical or management) in accordance with good practice guidelines and Trust policy, participate in the Trust’s annual Appraisal process and complete and be responsible for keeping all your relevant mandatory training up to date as and when required to do so.Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is a health & social care organisation dedicated to providing high quality care with compassion to improve the health & wellbeing of the people we care for, as well as supporting & empowering them to lead a fulfilling life.Our clinical teams deliver many NHS services not only via inpatient and primary care setting but also with the community.
