Deputy Manager - Residential Childcare
Location: Sittingbourne
Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 per annum-Plus paid sleep-in rate* (reaching an earning potential of up to £38,000 per annum) JOB DESCRIPTION Now more than ever it is crucial that vulnerable children receive dedicated, high-quality care & support. I am working with an established provider of Residential Childcare, who provide outstanding care to children & young people with learning difficulties and mental health. Specialising in working with those who have suffered Trauma & Abuse from a young age, this provider prides itself on having created a warm and homely environment for those they support. As a Deputy Manager, you can make a real difference to the lives of these children & young people. If you are an excellent communicator with strong leadership skills, wanting to further your career in Residential Childcare, then this could be the perfect role for you. ------------------------------------------------------------ Requirements & Skills
  • Helping to create a positive environment for each young person’ with particular reference to his/ her safety, health and education
  • Demonstrating the homes ethos and values and carrying these through to the young people and representing the company as a professional
  • Maintaining excellent professional practices in accordance with Ofsted Regulations and the Quality Care Standards for children’s homes
  • Engaging in the effective delivery of residential childcare in accordance with Company policies and procedures
  • Managing the Home in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • Working on the floor alongside Children’s Residential Care Workers and the Young People Minimum Requirements:
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality care
  • Knowledge of EBD and other complex needs/challenging behaviours
  • Hold a current UK Driving Licence
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children
