Job Paths 4 U are seeking a highly-skilled, motivated and experienced Deputy Children’s Home Manager for a Brand New Residential Children’s Home based in East Ham.

This new 4 bedded service will specialise in providing the highest standard of Care and Support to Children and Young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a reputable and growing children’s residential services care group in East Ham, currently with 2 homes across Greater London for children and young people with EBD.

As the Deputy Manager, you will support the aims and objectives of the setting and assist the registered manager in the organisation of a high-quality establishment for children and young people with EBD.

Deputy Children’s Home Manager Duties And Responsibilities Include
  • Support the Registered Manager in day to day running of the home
  • Work under the registered manager and deputise when required
  • Recognise and assess individual needs involving relevant professional agencies
  • Provide the highest level of personal care and attention to Young People
  • Ensure all legislation and standards are met in line with OFSTED Regulations
  • Ensure that you fully understand the placement and referral process
  • Building relationships with Local Authorities and Commissioners
  • To be an active and encouraging deputy manager
  • Promoting the safeguarding of young people
  • Attending Internal Meetings and Training Sessions
  • Carry out regular staff supervision, keeping accurate and detailed reports
Requirements

Minimum Requirements for this Deputy Manager role are:
  • Minimum Level 3 Children and young people’s workforce or equivalent (essential)
  • Level 5 Leadership and Management social care qualification (preferred)
  • Experience of working with young people in a residential care environment
  • At least 1 years experience supervising staff in a residential environment
  • Experience of working with young people with Emotional and behavioural difficulties
This position would suit someone who is currently working as a Team Leader or Deputy Manager in a Children’s Residential Home with at least 1 year’s experience of leading a team and looking for career progression.
