Job Description Following a restructure within our Learning & Development Team we are excited to be recruiting for a Part Time (30 hours) Deputy Learning & Development Manager. You will report and be fully supported by the Learning & Development Centre Manager and have full accountability to manage the L&D service and line management of the L&D Coordinators and Trainers. The restructure has also created opportunities for L&D Coordinators and Trainers so you will have the ability to grow, develop and create a team. This position will be a hybrid role with a mixture of onsite and remote working along with the ability to juggle your hours to create work/life balance as spread across 5 days. About Prior’s Court Prior’s Court was set up by Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley, whose vision of a centre of excellence for children with autism became reality with the opening of Prior’s Court School in 1999. We have since grown to support around 90 young people with autism aged between 5-25 years with the opening of Prior’s Court Young Adult Provision in 2011. Since opening, our support team has grown from around 20 to 500 and we have built a reputation as a leading edge educational, vocational, and residential facility for young people with autism. We are situated on 50 acres of parkland with various facilities including accommodation for our young people, a school with a wide range of facilities and offices. About the job This opportunity would require a background from the Health & Social Care environment combined with the design and delivery of face-to-face training. In addition, we are looking for you to have a working knowledge of Autism and challenging behaviour. This position lends itself to someone who has a flexible approach to hours, enjoys working within a small supportive team where accountability, excellent organisational and time management skills would be a key part of the role. Outlined below are some of the day to day accountabilities :- Identifying and implementing service improvements to enhance the compliance and/or quality of the L&D service. Continuously improving the skills and expertise of Priors Court employees Design & deliver digital training to meet the learning and development needs of our Children’s Homes, Young Adult Provision and Foundation teams. Support the Trainers to design and deliver classroom-based training to meet the learning and development needs across our residential and foundation settings. Quality Assuring training delivery both via evaluations and in person to ensure high standards are maintained Directing and Supporting the L&D Co-Ordinators to plan all face to face and digital delivery to ensure 100% compliance and to ensure accurate reporting and host Priors Court digital learning content Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure compliance targets are achieved Produce regular reports on activities for Management & Leadership teams Manage all external governing body requirements and communications e.g. Team Teach course registration processes Manage all external suppliers This position is 30 hours per week, over 5 days with the flexibility to work in a hybrid style with a mixture of onsite and WFH once established. Qualifications Minimum Level 3 L&D qualification e.g. CIPD or equivalent. Desired would be an Assessors award (CAVA/TAQA/A1) or equivalent and/or experience of working within L&D in the Health & Social Care industry. All positions at the school are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, references and receipt of the appropriate Right to Work documents.
