Deputy Head Chef – Meadows Park Care Home, Louth - 31.5 Hrs per Wk

Multi-award winning Tanglewood Care Homes is RECRUITING NOW for a Deputy Head Chef to work at our NEW 66 BED CARE HOME, Meadows Park, located just off the Grimsby Road in Louth.

The ideal candidate will understand the importance of quality home cooking and have up to date knowledge of food hygiene practices. They will be capable of leading the team in the absence of the Head Cook. Most importantly, they will be kind, caring and compassionate and possess a genuine passion for preparing, cooking, and serving nutritious meals for our Residents.

Personal Attributes:

  • Good understanding of food safety regulations
  • Ability to lead a team of people
  • An experienced cook who understands the value of home cooking

  • Professional, knowledgeable, caring, confident, well presented & very discrete
  • Team player with ‘can do’ attitude to ‘get involved’ and support the Head Chef

Desired:

  • Experience of food preparation for older people

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Food Hygiene or willing to work towards this
