Boutique practice located n Staffordshire seeks a Deputy Claims Manager on a full time, permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist motor claims handling team located in the Tamworth area. Utilising your knowledge and experience of motor claims, the successful Deputy Claims Manager will act for corporate clients on pre and post litigated claims and manage their own caseload of matters. Additionally, the successful deputy manager will be providing hands-on support to the claims manager as required.

Responsibilities

• Pre and post litigated caseload
• Acting for corporate clients
• Handling motor claims
• Assessing liability and evaluating quantum
• Use of case management system
• High value, complex claims
• Conducting negotiations with third parties
• Issuing court proceedings
• Acting as a technical referral for claim handlers
• Mentoring junior staff members

The Candidate

• Qualified solicitors, legal executives or paralegal with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in motor claims
• Pre- and post-litigated experience will be essential
• Possesses outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• An LLB or insurance qualification is advantageous but not essential
• Works well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• A team player who is equally comfortable working on their own initiative
• Is pro-active, personable and detail orientated
