Job role: Deputy Children’s Home Manager Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire Competitive Salary Ivy Recruitment is currently working alongside our client who are looking for an experienced Deputy Children’s Home Manager to join their team. We are looking for a person that has a background specialising in residential services that work with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). The ideal candidate will be an ambassador and role model for our ‘Inspirational Childcare Practice’, based on our company values. We are particularly keen to employ a registered manager who has an understanding of the application of such values as compassion and honesty in their relationships with the young people and colleagues they are working with. Empathy and trust are important qualities when we are caring for young people who may have experienced traumatic emotional experiences. As a Deputy Children’s Home Manager, you will have: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in Children’s Health & Social care or be willing to undertake or have Social Work or Social Science based Degree. Experience of working in residential care for children and young people. At least 2 years’ managerial experience in health & social care. Sound knowledge of governing legislation, procedures and best practice in caring for looked after children working in a therapeutic environment.
