Shropshire region. Acorn Education and Care work directly with vulnerable children with Learning Disabilities and complex needs. This means that the Children we care for may need support to develop their day-to-day skills, including communication and practical skills. They may also need support to complete their personal care. The home is based in Shrewsbury.

Our next Deputy Manager will be someone who has:

Mandatory: Level 3 Diploma - Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent. Experience of working in a residential setting Working knowledge of relevant legislation such as Children’s Act and Quality Care Standards Experience of leading and motivating teams Ability to effectively train individuals and groups And that’s not all, we place the outcomes of the children and vulnerable young adults in our services at the heart of everything we do, so you’ll wake every day in the knowledge that your role will have a significant positive impact on the lives of others. *You’ll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, more time for you!
