Delivery Manager

Radbroke, Knutsford

As a Barclays Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall deployment of new network kit to both Data Centre and Campus locations within Barclays. This includes, review project requirements, project planning, procurement, site preparations, and installations. You will also act as the point of contact for projects on behalf of Networks and Voice. We are focused on Customer Availability, driving excellence in service resilience, change management and pro-active problem management.

What will you be doing?

  • You will be responsible for the overall deployment of new network kit to both Data Centre and Campus locations within Barclays
  • Acting as the primary contact between the project and the virtual engineering teams (both internal and external)
  • Ensuring that appropriately skilled and experienced resources are appointed in line with the requirements of the project
  • Managing project status reporting is accurate and timely and that any risk to timescales is highlighted at the earliest opportunity
  • You will be able to run with multiple deliveries concurrently whilst remaining focused and maintaining a meticulous eye for detail
  • Ensuring that all deliveries are completed in accordance with Project, Governance and Control procedures

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience of successfully managing IT project deliverables to short timescales in a project / programme environment and escalating any issues to the stakeholders
  • Proven experience of working effectively with internal and external suppliers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and in line with the budget
  • Experience of leading and motivating virtual teams (engineers, project managers, transition managers, etc.) within an IT project/programme environment
  • Experience of managing and influencing stakeholders, achieving high levels of stakeholder satisfaction through setting and meeting / exceeding realistic targets

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

  • Experience working with workload management tools (Examples: Navigator, JIRA, etc.)
  • Experience in working in IT Infrastructure or Application teams within the Financial Services sector
  • Knowledge of ITIL disciplines
  • Broad knowledge of Network technologies including routing and switching, firewalls and load balancing

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations.
