Job description

We are looking for a Data Quality Officer to join our Applications Team. We are part of Business Change and Information Solutions (BCIS) and we develop and support several computer applications used by People’s portfolio.

This role will primarily involve providing helpdesk and data quality support on Children’s and Early Help LiquidLogic, as well as providing some support on Capita One. This post is initially offered for 6 months as the service is part of a wider ICT restructuring, which could present opportunities for the post to be extended or made permanent.

The work is varied and includes:

  • Providing LiquidLogic helpdesk support to Social Workers, Team Managers, Business Support, and other internal council officers
  • Providing a range of support activities and developments that services have requested for the LiquidLogic and Capita One applications
  • Working closely with partners to maintain, develop and test the technical underpinning of the applications
  • Collaborating with colleagues in respect of reporting requirements at all levels, from local management information to statutory returns

Do you have experience of working with applications and providing support for front end users? Have you got excellent communication skills, a logical way of thinking and are able to present technical and/or complex issues to a variety of audiences? If so, this post could be an exciting development opportunity.

We are investing in our workforce and are promoting opportunities to our under-represented groups. We value equality, diversity and inclusion and are focused on increasing the diversity of our workforce, particularly the number of Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, Disabled and LGBTQ+ people, so that our teams reflect the communities in the city we serve. We are also supporting staff with unpaid caring responsibilities to work flexibly. It is a great time to join us, and we welcome your application.

Under the Disability Confident Scheme, disabled applicants, who meet the essential criteria of this job, are guaranteed an interview.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.

For an informal discussion, please contact Joanne Helm, Application Development Manager via email Joanne.Helm@sheffield.gov.uk or mobile 07467 117166
