• Permanent role fully remote with occasional meetup in Lancashire* Must have strong SQL and TSQL development experience* Entity Framework and API experience a big plus also Client Server architectureThis Data Engineer role would suit a previous SQL DBA or SQL Developer or an already established Data Engineer.This is a permanent role with a salary range £40000 - £50,000 fully remote with the occasional onsite meet up in Lancashire i.e. once a quarter meet up.Therefore all applicants need to be already UK based with the relevant and right UK work Visa’s in place - No Sponsorship is provided for this role.Main purpose of the role is for migrating customer data for new and existing clients from 3rd party and the clients systems.Experience of designing and developing migration scripts in SQL and TSQLMust have database migration software and technology experience.Strong SQL and T-SQL scripting experience.Job specification:The Data Migration Engineer works within our technical team and is responsible for migrating customer data for new and existing clients from 3rd party and internal business systems. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary team using your data analysis, SQL and scripting skills to assist in the migration of customer data from one system to another.As a strong problem solver, you will coordinate and manage migrations for the clients customers. The role is ideal for those who enjoy diagnosing data issues and working with infrastructure and development teams to resolve themRequirements for the role:* SQL/T-SQL Scripting Skills* Strong MS Excel Knowledge* Experience of database migration software and technologies* Confident & competent using phone, email and video conferencing * Strong customer care skills* Collaboration with multiple diverse teams* Data integration & manipulation skills* Ability to diagnose and fix data issues* Desire to continually improve processes* Ability to create technical and end user documentation* Experience of coordinating tasks across multiple departments & with customers* Familiarity of operating with different levels of stakeholder (business and technical)Desirable skills: * Advanced MS SQL scripting and T-SQL skills* ITIL Foundations certification* Project Management experience* MS SQL Server/MS Developer Certification* Experience with JIRA/BitBucket or equivalentKey Responsibilities:* Own and manage data migrations for clients Customers* Provide DM training/consultancy to internal and external stakeholders* Work with technical & business teams to run and improve customer data migrations* Liaise with customers during project lifecycle* Diagnose and fix reported data issues* Develop and maintain DM toolset* Create and update business process documentation* Identify and resolve technical issues* Manage queries/tickets promptly and offer solutions within agreed SLA* Ensuring data security policies are followed* Responsible for keeping technical documentation up to dateThis Data Migration engineer role is a permanent job opportunity with a salary range of £40,000 - £50,000 and offered as fully remote.
