THE ROLE

This role is to assist in the business as usual activity, and future development of the Woodland Trusts cloud based data platform and other data led initiatives, whilst working with the current data team and wider organisation to implement a supporter-centric culture, driven by data. The Data Engineer will work with the Data Architect and other stakeholders to maintain the operational integrity and expand the functionality of the Trusts data platforms, as well as carrying out other tasks related to this role in order to maintain data cohesion.

THE CANDIDATE

You will have experience working within a previous data focused role, ETL, Analytics, Big Data etc and the creation and managing of data pipelines, transformation, and efficient storage. With a working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, You will be proficienct in at least one scripting language i.e. Python, R, C/C++/C#.

You will have experience using Data Modelling Techniques OOD, DFDs etc and working within an Azure Technology Stack, including DataLake, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Databricks.

The ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and third party suppliers is essential. As is the ability to communicate technical and non-technical specifications.
