Job Title: Project Lead Commissioning Manager

Location: Blyth

Job Purpose

ISG have recently secured a £500m new build Battery Gigaplant project in Blyth, and this role is to oversee the Commissioning Management Process to successfully deliver projects to meet the Clients design intent and expectations. Co-ordinating the construction and commissioning sequencing and scheduling of Landlord systems, Clean Rooms and Client Manufacturing Process equipment. Lead the project in delivering the highest standards of quality both in construction and commissioning processes. Encourage the team to innovate in developing improvements to process and procedures, challenge current methods by smart thinking and utilising latest technology.

KeyResponsibilities

Engaged with the project team to support and develop the PCSA deliverables.
  • Responsible to manage the Commissioning Management Package on Project Phoenix.
  • Undertaken periodic reviews and development of the project commissioning execution plan and deliver the tasks aligned to ISG CxM.
  • Managing the deliverables aligned to the project CxA as call out in the commissioning execution plan.
  • Co-ordinate the continual project commission ability and design reviews with the appropriate commissioning team members.
  • Co-ordinate the specific system handshake point criteria outlining all commissioning activities deliverables and dependences.
  • To fully engage with the project MEP team, support, offer solutions and identify problems early.
  • To train the MEP team & sub-contractors / vendors the commissioning process, their roles and responsibilities and deliverables.
  • To manage the commissioning documentation through all levels, implement the project commissioning software platform pre-requisites by liaising with the ISG BIM Manager.
  • Co-ordinate the development or develop the project commissioning programme and assist with the integration with construction activities.
  • Co-ordinate daily activity planning, aligning contractors, vendors, CxA, EoR, Client and 3rd party inspector’s attendance to witness commissioning testing activities.
  • Manage the closeout of punch items raised on the issue’s resolution log utilising Autodesk’s construction cloud.
  • Be an active member of the project SoftLandings team, aligning the clients key
project goals with the commissioning process and associated team members.
  • To chair and minute all commissioning related meetings & workshops.
  • Attend project and client meetings, producing precise and succinct project reports as required.
Experience & Skills

Commissioning management experience at project or specific discipline within the Critical Infrastructure and Data Centre, Manufacturing, Semi-conductor sectors.
  • Accomplished record of successfully delivering projects.
  • Understanding of LOTO and all safety systems associated with Electrical & Mechanical Plant operations.
  • In depth understanding of producing and managing to project schedules.
  • In depth understanding of the construction and commissioning phases their QAQC and commissioning deliverables.
  • Experience of Data Centre client’s business requirements and drivers.
  • Experienced in executing Quality Management processes.
  • Knowledgeable in prefabrication and the QA/QC / Cx process to be managed.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use and application of Autodesk Construction Cloud or alternative

The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced Senior Commissioning Manager who has a proven track record in delivering large projects within the Data Centre, High-tech Manufacturing, and Semi-conductor sectors. Your track record will show the successful management of the commissioning process from concept to aftercare. As a senior member of the project delivery team you would be full engaged on the project Leadership team and be expected to lead by example in the development and implementation of the project culture and standards. As a subject matter expert, you will be an effective communicator with experience in negotiating, both internally and externally with customers and trade contractors / vendors. Co-ordinating the project commissioning team consisting of
Contractors / Vendors / Commissioning Management Specialists and Client Process Commissioning Specialists will be your focus, testing your management, organisational and interpersonal skills.
