Are you a customer service professional looking for a new challenge?

We are recruiting for a Customer Services Advisor to join our team based at our Distribution centre in Grantham , Lincolnshire on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Customer Services Team Leader, you will work collaboratively to distribute the bestselling books into retailer’s hands so that they can be read by book lovers all over the world.

As a Customer Services Advisor, you’ll be passionate about ensuring that our customers receive our consistently high level of service at all times. Your aim will be to ‘read’ them and anticipate their needs, with a focus on resolving any issues efficiently whilst providing a friendly and supportive service.

You’ll be responsible for handling incoming telephone calls, order processing, setting up contracts, managing general enquiries and any other business associated with our customers. No two days will be the same, and as a Customer Service Advisor with Penguin Random House UK, you’ll be empowered to support, advise and offer peace of mind to solve issues effectively.

This role will suit someone with previous experience in a customer facing role or administrative environment, who can work independently and confidently as part of the wider team. An eye for detail and accuracy, the ability to organise and manage your own workload and prioritise tasks accordingly will be essential.

You’ll be a strong user of IT software including Microsoft Excel, and will be a great listener who remains calm under pressure.

Salary:c.£19,000 depending on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.

We’re currently working remotely, and expect to be able to return to our offices from July. At this point, we will also be starting a trial of hybrid working across our company and we’re happy to discuss flexible working options at interview stage.
