Customer Communications Manager


9am - 5:30pm Mon-Fri - Salary: £28k p/a plus excellent benefits package


We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Communications officerto join ourMarketing Department,Reporting to theGroup Marketing Director, the Manager of Customer Communications is responsible for creating relevant and timely messages/content for our customers and building a variety of communications programmes to keep them informed and engaged, increase customer satisfaction, enhance their overall customer experience.


Working closely with the marketing, trading, logistics and sales teams, the Customer Communications Manager’s role is to agree the messaging and align the communications channels to inform customers in a timely, consistent and on brand manner.


About You:

As this position operates in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision and be able to develop new ideas, adapt to last-minute changes, and handle challenging work situations. You’ll frequently manage “issues of the day” by triaging, developing strategies, getting relevant stakeholders involved, and then executing – quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write communications as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments on specific communication needs
  • Execute communications plans with a detailed understanding of project’s objectives, value, and priorities
  • Create single point of ownership for customer communications, agree and align messaging across all touch points for end to end customer communications
  • Continually assessing all customer communications touchpoints to ensure consistent, accurate communications are being given to customers
  • Ensure a coherent tone of voice across all touch points in all markets
  • Determines requirements for communications and produces material and collateral plans that are fit for purpose for use by all stakeholders
  • Recommend appropriate channel for messaging including the use of digital channels to drive engagement


Some Key Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing compelling communications programs
  • Experience in delivering customer communications through multiple channels
  • Ability to simplify complex information
  • Outstanding communicator – verbal and written
  • Impressive copywriting skills
  • Successful track record of managing multiple stakeholder requirements in a complex environment
