You’ll be part of the Product Strategy and Planning team who are responsible for product management and market intelligence activities.Within this new role you’ll be responsible for a wide range of activities that include the development of our cross carline options strategy, profitability, personalisation (via Q), launch/run-out/special edition options packages as well as our strategy for aftermarket accessories and our award-winning configurator. You’ll also input into the colour and trim strategy and negotiate with key stakeholders on complexity reduction within the product offer whilst also actively reviewing competitor products to identify new opportunities that can drive increased vehicle ASP and product revenue.Due to the nature of this role no two weeks will be the same. One week you could be working on an options strategy proposal for a new model launching in two years’ time, the following week you could be analysing our current options strategy on DBX identifying missed opportunities vs. the competitor set and proposing solutions that help improve our revenue position. The exciting part of this role is that you will work across our entire product portfolio, both current and future, including DBX, DB12 and Valhalla.As the expert you’ll lead regular touchpoints with Product Leaders, Design, Procurement, Finance, and Marketing to share insights into sales and customer trends. You’ll use these touchpoints to identify strengths and weaknesses within the existing product offer and confidently deliver appropriate suggestions for stakeholders to make positive changes within our assortments and ensure we deliver these to maximise profitability. Where weaknesses have been identified you’ll provide solution-focused proposals demonstrating benefits for the customer and Aston Martin. You’ll regularly undertake benchmarking activities to identify potential opportunities for Aston Martin options offering relative to competitor brands.You’ll be part of a small, friendly, supportive team and report directly to the Cross Carline Product and Pricing Manager. Part of your role will be to coach and mentor the Product Insights Executive overseeing their workload and providing support and guidance where required. You will also work very closely with the Global Pricing Leader on strategic projects.We are looking for a confident, driven, and resilient person who is a strong self-starter with the ability to manage your own workload whilst understanding which projects require prioritisation, being able to reprioritise dependent on urgency. You’ll have exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and have the confidence to challenge and persuade senior stakeholders to come around to your way of thinking. You’ll have a solution-focused approach with excellent time management and organisational skills as you’ll be working to multiple ever-changing priorities/deadlines. You’ll have excellent project management skills to manage ongoing different stage projects within your remit. You’ll be highly proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You’ll be proficient in data reporting tools and have worked with an ERP system (ideally Infor, not a deal breaker if you haven’t as we can train you).Ideally, you’ll be degree educated or have sufficient experience gained within a similar fast-paced role, either within automotive, a retail merchandising role or a product-orientated role/industry.This is a permanent role based out of our Gaydon HQ on a hybrid basis.
