Job Purpose

Provide a link between Cost Engineering and the wider business by supporting gateways and leading target setting activities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conducting competitor benchmarking studies
  • Coordinating the teardown and costing of key commodities
  • Tracking and reporting of full ‘should cost’ status
  • Facilitating Design to Cost workshops
  • Developing parametric costing tools
  • Coordinating with specialist consultants
  • Represent the Cost Engineering team within the wider Programmes community

Qualification & Experience
  • Strong level of IT skills especially in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Finance, Programmes or Engineering background
  • Data management
  • Team based working and coordination
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Quotation form analysis
  • Negotiation
  • Technical and commercial awareness of bottom-up costing
  • Experience in Design to Cost studies
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred
