We’re looking for 2 Credit Controllers to join us at The Phoenix Works as we embark on an outstanding period of growth.

As a Credit Controller, you will work as part of a high performing Finance team reporting into the Business Control Analyst. You’ll be responsible for billing and collections across both residential and business customers. This role is key in supporting the business through its cash flow cycle, helping invoice customers on time, maximise cash receipts, reduce overdue debt, and minimise bad debt. You will be responsible for the following:

• Creating and administering customer invoices

• All aspects of credit control

• Payment reconciliations

• Taking payments from residential customers

• Reports and analysis on debt

• Advance payment notifications

• Processing referrals

• Mandate removal

• Spotting opportunities for continuous improvement and voicing suggestions for solutions

• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner

We have 2 Credit Controller openings, one working across Direct Sale and the other working in Subscriptions. We are looking for Credit Controller, Direct Sale to have experience working in a B2B environment, with a track record of minimising overdue debt. We are looking for Credit Controller, Subscriptions to have demonstrable experience working in a retail subscription/direct debit payment environment, ideally within an FCA registered organization. The successful candidates will also have the following:

• A background working in a Finance related function or business

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work at pace, in a start-up environment

• Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders across the business to achieve the best result for the business in line with objectives

• Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across various levels of an organization both verbally and in a written manner
