About Our Client

My client is a fast growing software company based in London. They have recently expanded to Europe and have seen rapid growth as a result.

Due to this they are now looking to hire a Credit Controller on an initial 3 month contract to assist with a backlog of aged debt. If successful this person can go permanent.

The offices are located close to Liverpool Street and they are looking someone to be based in the office 5 days a week.

Job Description

Credit Controller, London

  • Making outbound calls to customers to manage debt levels and promptly resolve queries which may arise.
  • Communicate regularly with Sales department regarding customer accounts.
  • Following up on any issues in a timely manner.
  • Weekly banking and maintenance of cash balances through reconciliations and transactional allocations.
  • Send monthly customer letters and statement and deal with inbound queries.
  • Reconciliation of the sales ledger control account to the nominal ledger.
  • Maintaining an accurate ledger accounts for customers.
  • Recommend suspension proceedings where collection steps have failed.
  • Add hoc project work with a focus on reduction of Aged Debt.
  • Ad-hoc raising of sales/ deal invoices within the custom (Sage) Project Accounting module and internal billing platform liaising frequently within internal departments.
  • Managing interdepartmental relationships with the understanding of how this impacts your day-to-day and collaborating to make efficiencies where possible.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate must be immediately available and can start work at short notice.

Prior working knowledge in a Credit Control department is essential.


What’s on Offer

The successful candidate will be paid £35,000 per annum.
