My client based in Stonehouse are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join their well established and expanding company. The company is now one of the largest in their sector within the Southwest!


The successful candidate will assist in all areas of credit control to ensure that debtor days are maintained within acceptable levels. This role will require attendance one day per week at their Tewkesbury office.


Responsibilities/Duties;

  • Preparation of daily banking sheets & accurate posting of BACS/Faster Payments
  • Preparation of daily PDQ banking sheet & accurate posting of this sheet.
  • Taking Payments by PDQ
  • Daily banking of Cash and cheques at local Post Office branch or bank.
  • Posting payments received
  • Reviewing of accounts to ensure all cash/credits etc are matched on a timely basis.
  • Daily review of account balances for overdue and overlimit accounts.
  • Issuing Sales Ledger Statements.
  • Active communication with commercial debtors via telephone or email to ensure debtor amounts are paid to terms and any and all potential queries are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing new account applications received and providing necessary information for Credit Manager to be able to allocate a suitable credit limit/terms.
  • Preparation and management of Direct Debit receipts and calculation of monthly/quarterly in advance payments.
  • Management of commercial account Stop List.

Candidate Attributes;

  • Previous credit control experience is essential
  • Have good communications skills
  • Be able to communicate with varying levels of personnel
  • Be self-driven and work under own initiative

Hours- Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.00pm


Salary- Up to £30,000 depending on candidate experience.
