Our dedicated and friendly finance team at Meallmore are looking for an energetic and driven Credit Controller, to join us on a full-time and permanent basis. This role was created to help us to maximise the income from our 26 care homes across Scotland. The successful candidate will be able to have input into the development of the role.

Meallmore has over 30 years’ experience of providing exceptional standards of quality care. We specialise in caring for older people, including the frail elderly. Our high-quality care is individually tailored to residents’ needs, while allowing them to be as independent as they wish.

Your role as a Credit Controller will include:
  • Working with our sales ledger team to ensure invoices are issued timeously
  • Reviewing monthly debt lists and following up on outstanding debts
  • Reconciling client accounts
  • Liaising with Home Managers, local authorities, families and legal representatives
  • Monthly Reporting to the management team on the debt position
  • Ad hoc accounting functions to assist the accounts team
Skills and attributes required:
  • A strong level of numeracy
  • Excellent Excel/Word Skills
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
  • A knowledge of the funding legislation for the care sector in Scotland would be advantageous
  • Previous credit control experience preferred

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday – 9am to 5:00pm.
