Job Description

Ensure the preparation of new and annual credit reviews and ratings and deal transactions for assigned counterparties and monitor assigned counterparty risk and the associated facilities

Involved in client engagement and application of models and templates

Analysis of macro and micro factors to determine the counterparty probability of default

Conclude on the borrowers risk including gearing, capitalisation of the balance sheet and quality of assets

Perform collateral analysis and recommend loss given defaults (LGDs) using the appropriate frameworks

Monitor and action compliance to approved facilities

Partner with the relevant Review Analyst/Team Lead for counterparty reviews

Monitor risk exceptions and approvals of annual credit reviews.

Preparation and presentation to relevant forums and committees for decision-making

Update relevant credit systems with covenants and other monitoring requirements and exception reports

The Successful Applicant

Strong financial services track record - with experience in credit analysis and risk management

Knowledge of accounting principles/financial statements

Experience working with legal documentation and understanding of the regulatory framework around funds and fund managers

Good knowledge of credit risk management methodologies, tools, governance structures and regulatory requirements

Banking Product knowledge (interest rates, currencies, derivatives, TRS and credit-linked)

ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA agreement knowledge beneficial

Understanding of supporting collateral, margining, clearing and prime broking arrangements

Relevant credit analysis and reporting experience, specifically with NBFI’s is preferred

Knowledge and familiarity with large fund managers and hedge fund businesses
