Bespoke Education have been approached by a client in the Knowsley area to source a keen Cover Supervisor to work within their establishment. The client in question is a coeducational 11 to 16 secondary school; they are committed to maintaining the very highest standards. Individuality and difference are recognized in this school. The behaviour of the pupils is often praised by former temporary staff who have had assignments here, this will make your job a bit easier! The school is currently rated ’Good’ by Ofsted and the support system within is second to none. You will settle in straight away here due to the friendly environment. There is a great balance of care and discipline within and respect is held in very high regard; this is a brilliant place to be a part of!
This role as a Cover Supervisor is due to commence immediately. This is a long-term position that has come about due to the high demand for supply; the school would like to be more prepared for any absences so have asked to take someone on full-time to cover this. The working hours will be Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 3pm. The pay will be £60 to £70 per day. The role of Cover Supervisor is superb; it is flexible and gains you the experience without being tied to it. If you are a qualified teacher looking to take a step back from the pressures for a while this could be a good opportunity for you. If you are looking to gain more experience within the classroom, either after completing your PGCE or prior to starting it, this would be ideal for you.

The Ideal Candidate Will Meet The Following Criteria

• You possess a degree (desirable but not essential)
• You have experience working with children, preferably within a classroom, yet other vocational work will be taken into consideration
• You possess a valid and current DBS, if not we can process one via our company
• You believe you handle discipline issues effectively and fairly, whilst maintaining good classroom control
  

Specific Responsibilities Include, But Aren’t Limited To

• Supervising the students and maintaining classroom control
• Ensuring pupils complete their set work
• Following the school behavioural and attendance policies
• Adhering to all school safeguarding policies and procedures
• Ensuring a constructive working environment
