Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Salary: £14,410 - £16,884

Medway, Kent

Job Start: September 2021

On behalf of a secondary school in the Medway part of Kent, we are recruiting for a Cover Supervisor for 32.5 hours per week (term time only plus one week). The role is to start in September 2021 and you will be employed directly by the school, as this is a permanent position.

This role would be ideal for someone who is keen to support the education and development of young people in a variety of settings within the school, as you will provide cover for lessons when teachers are absent, have release time from class, etc. The lessons will already be planned, but you will be expected to deliver these in an effective way to ensure consistency for the pupils.

The successful candidate will be patient, consistent, determined, hard-working and interested in helping young people to succeed. The successful applicant will also be expected to deliver interventions and support the Learning Support Assistants. You will need to demonstrate that you have good English and Maths skills, with previous school-based experience highly desirable.

The school caters for children in years 9-13 and has approximately 250 pupils on role. They are building a good local reputation and consider the well being of their staff at all times, all of which makes this a very desirable position.

The school has a strong ethos of student welfare. Therefore, any successful applicant will undergo a full enhanced criminal record check (DBS).
