Location: PontypoolHours: 830am – 330pmPay: £95 per dayTeaching Personnel are currently seeking a Cover Supervisor to work in a Secondary school in Pontypool. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of a teacher, ensuring that students are engaged and on task, and maintaining a positive learning environment. You will be working with students between the ages of 11-16.The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage a classroom of students, and a passion for education. Experience working with children or young people is preferred, but not essential.Key Responsibilities
  • Supervising classes in the absence of a teacher.
  • Managing behaviour and ensuring that students are engaged and on task.
  • Following lesson plans provided by the absent teacher.
  • Maintaining a positive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS cleared & on the update service. (or willing to apply)
  • EWC registered. (Or willing to apply)
  • Be able to provide 2 of your most recent references.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have up to date safeguarding training or willing to take it. (Provided for free by Teaching Personnel)
