About The Role

Specifically, we are currently sourcing a Cost Engineerto join our commercial team to track, report, analyse and monitor he progress of projects and investigating variances.

In this role you will lead the reporting and correct accounting of your allocated woks on a weekly or quarterly basis. You will ensure supplier invoices related to your allocated works are processed in a timely manner, as well as ensuring timesheets are accrued and processed to the project including any journal transfers for cost allocations.
You will also need to make sure subcontractor payments are processed in a timely manner. Compilation of information for internal and external auditors is an important task which will need to be picked up and maintained. You will also be the main point of contact and lead for all cost and accounting matters.

About You

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience using Office365
  • Previous experience of company management accounting reporting procedures
  • AAT or equivalent qualified
  • Knowledge of civil engineering, construction and/or manufacturing sector(s)
  • Demonstrable people management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to communicate financial information and liaise with multiple stakeholders

All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. Our scope of the works includes 15 viaducts, 5km of green tunnels, 22km of road diversions, 67 overbridges and around 30 million cubic metres of excavation.
