In this role you will support the Technical Programme Lead and the Technical Director to deliver their programme effectively, implementing programme-wide initiatives, improvements, processes and controls to drive performance along the way. You must provide operational support across the technical function. We expect you to anticipate and actively assist in the management of risk.
We would like you to monitor performance metrics and interpret them for action as well as for Senior Leadership Team reporting. You will assist with the development of robust processes and procedures (including process maps) for the design phase of the programme.

We expect you to assist with the implementation of a benefits register, to capture value delivered across the programme. It is essential that you drive continuous improvement and share best practice / lessons learned. Providing input to support the achievement of the technical team’s strategy and objectives is a big part of this role.

Work closely with the Technical Programme Lead and the Design Delivery Director to ensure that suitable project controls, planning, and commercial reporting and metrics are provided to allow effective management of the ASC subcontract. We’d like you to promote appropriate commercial strategies for managing change (relating to the EKFB contract and the ASC subcontract) and ensure correct and timely administration of the contracts.

We would like you to aid with the coordination of the business case development by the Design Optimisation and Efficiency team, and promote suitable commercial strategies for implementation, working closely with the Technical Programme Lead and Design Delivery Director.

It is essential that you engage effectively through the senior management team to support performance improvements across the business. It is also essential that you assist in securing the required resources to meet project requirements.

Deputising for the Technical Programme Lead where necessary.

About You

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in Programme Management and/or Project Controls on large Infrastructure projects
  • A strong focus on reliability and timeliness of robust information
  • Strong communication skills at multiple organisation levels
  • The ability to embed new initiatives and processes
