Petrofac is looking to recruit a Cost Engineer to join our Petrofac based in Aberdeen.

Main Purpose Of The Role

Provides a cost engineer service. Control and maintenance of project variations. Provide commercial support to project managers.

Key Accountabilities
  • Perform all tasks and prepare all information in accordance with the company’s policies, processes and procedures.
  • Provides a cost engineer service to the respective manager(s) and projects.
  • Monitoring, measuring and reporting (with appropriate commentary) on the cost position of the project against the budgets / CTR’S / AFE’S (capex projects).
  • Liaison with operations and project teams to assess labour hours and cost forecasts.
  • Compiling and submitting regular cost reports to the project manager(s) / operations manager(s) /commercial team and clients.
  • Maintenance of project CTR register including reporting of AFE and CTR status.
  • Liaison with commercial for generation of monthly accruals and tie in to ‘actuals’ reporting.
  • Check monthly client invoices prior to submission as required.
  • Provide commercial support to project managers in the preparation of annual budgets and re-forecast in conjunction with the Aberdeen commercial team.
  • Produce, monitor and check weekly time writing reports, include one against CTR hours.
  • Form part of the SNS emergency response team as required by company emergency response procedures.
