Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Security Officer to join our Facilities Management team working at a high security government building in Bristol. This is a permanent position working60 hours per week, Mon-Fri.


The role:


  • Reporting to the Operations Manager
  • To monitor entrances and exits by patrolling and the use of surveillance equipment (including management of alarm activations and control rooms systems)
  • To guard and patrol the site(s), key holding/helpdesk management
  • To ensure access control, visitor monitoring and booking systems are complied with
  • Be the first point of contact in the event of an incident or emergency
  • Working 60 hours per week from 07:00 to 19:00, Monday to Friday


The person:


  • Frontline Security Guarding or Door Supervision SIA licence essential; CCTV licence an advantage
  • Desirable to have experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Smart, well-groomed and confident
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
  • Level of fitness commensurate with required duties (patrolling, standing on designated posts)
  • First aid and conflict management awareness an advantage
  • Employment in this post is dependent upon obtaining security clearance; this requires 3 years’ residency in the UK and a valid passport
