Corporate Real Estate - Regional Commercial Lead EMEA

DHL Corporate Real Estate is a well-established team of property professionals in both commercial, surveying and construction. The department is responsible for maintaining the existing EMEA portfolio of buildings as well as new acquisitions, disposals, new builds and fit outs.

The overall purpose of the role is to lead Commercial Real Estate actives at a regional level, provide expert commercial knowledge and implement global plans at a regional level. You will also guide the Head of CRE Region on the key commercial activities and future roadmap in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies.

Your tasks will be:

• Lead Commercial Real Estate actives at a regional level, provide expert commercial knowledge and implement global plans at a regional level. Guide the Head of CRE Region on the key commercial activities and future roadmap in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies.
• Support definition of global portfolio plan structure and methodology and drive development and consolidation of portfolio plans on a regional level
• Collaborate with regional BU colleagues to define future strategy by division on regional level (regional portfolio plans)
• Present global strategy to regional BU heads and gain support to pursue commercial opportunities
• Present global strategy to regional CRE teams to garner support to enable aligned strategy execution
• Identify new opportunities, collate commercial best practice and drive innovation
• Support definition of project delivery process (post BCA-approval) incl. status of commercial conditions, issue, risk and change control/requests
• Conduct regular review meetings with regional project managers to support issue resolution and ensure commercial conditions are met
• Review occupancy options and provide advice on alternative/ innovative solutions
• Support negotiations for selected projects
• Create, transfer and retain regional Commercial knowledge in line with global approached (e.g. trainings and staff development)

Your profile should look like:

• Ideally more than 10 years of relevant Commercial Real Estate experience
• Fluent in English – both written and spoken
• Strong stakeholder management experience
• International experience/cultural sensitivity
• Ability to direct internal and external resources to accomplish complex tasks
• Degree in relevant discipline, MBA is an advantage
